Koralo’s a highly competitive and ambitious swordsman from Greenhorne Castle, and Lunele’s younger brother. She’s always so hyped up and determined to take on anything and everything, not backing down from a single challenge that comes his way.

Although with his reckless tendencies… she often gets into more messes than he’d like to admit. He’s disorganized, jumpy and all over the place compared to his more serious and uptight older sister. Despite his teasing and brash nature, she surprisingly enough can be very composed and formal when he has to be. He’s always boasting about how amazing she is to others and tries to surpass his best each day. Although for someone who speaks so highly of himself, he seems to seek a high amount of validation as well from those around him.

He doesn't hesitate to speak up when disrespected or if others are disrespected. She always wears a smile and acts passive aggressively polite or formal when this happens, so he comes off as extremely intimidating. He's also fairly intelligent even if half the time her impulses get in the way of rational thinking. Koralo is very self-centered, boasting about his actions constantly, yet is also insecure at the same time- always searching for attention or reception to his actions.

On one hand, he can't stand to take anything against her fragile ego. On the other hand though, his desire for attention does drive him further to do good deeds and help out. He is also known for being a fast-paced and competitive individual. She's completely capable of brains but she much rather prefers brawns over it because it's more exciting to him and she'd much rather spend time battling than thinking. This usually means rushing into missions without thinking and charging in with brute force.

"Ahaha, Opal! My buddy, my chum, my good old pal!! You're seriously the coolest person in our guild-- ah, but before me of course! We've had a few rough moments... perhaps more than that but-- you have my utmost respect, as our leader and guildmate!"

Opal

"You might be petty as hell and an awful sore loser, but you always manage to pull through for me, and I know I can depend on you! I especially really appreciate you taking over for me when I couldn't lead, it means a lot!"

Duo Name: Heroic Epic
At first glance, it looks like they're downright hostile to each other to the public view. They get into a lot of stupid arguments and competitions to prove who's better, yet while they act very petty-- at the end of the day they actually hold high respect for each other. Opal finds Koralo a valuable member of the team and feels relieved to have been able to share the responsibilities of a leader with him even if it was momentarily.

• Both Opal and Koralo are both very physically affectionate individuals overall, the only difference is that Opal can be uncomfortable about people touching her randomly as opposed to touching others herself. As they get closer though, it really shows how much more comfortable Opal gets as he doesn't comment or seem to mind Koralo's random gestures as much as well as Koralo generally being more respectful of Opal's space.

• Their initial opinions of each other contrasted so much. Opal found him so admirable and serious, being the first knight she ever met. Now she thinks he's kind of a loser, affectionately of course. Koralo on the other hand resented her heavily for carrying this hero role instead of himself, but now thinks of her with much regard.

• Koralo was very grateful that Opal was able to watch over his Rosace for the entirety he wasn't in the team. It actually surprised her how very fond the horse grew of Opal over time.

"It's been a long time since we've first started our lessons together, Gin! For someone so young it's impressive how far you've come. You've grown a lot, and as your mentor I couldn't be more proud!!"

"So cool...! And kind, and helpful, and awesome... you're just like my brother. You always take care of me and protect me, and you have a horse too!! I wanna be just like you when I'm older..."

Duo Name: Sunbathers
Koralo respects Gintaras highly. At first they were at a misunderstanding because Koralo thought Gin's closed in behavior around him was fear, but really the latter just admired him and didn't know how to express it. After they resolve things, Koralo offers to train Gin and help them through some of their fears, somewhat like a mentor. They have a very sweet dynamic... except for the fact that Koralo is an irresponsible adult who probably accidentally teaches the kid swears and finds it hilarious.

• Koralo likes to ruffle Gin’s hair without thinking whenever he’s proud of them. Gin always ends up looking entirely motivated and sparkly-eyed getting any sort of praise or affection from him.

"C'mon, you don't have to worry about me so much, okay? I've been through a lot since we've left Greenhorne, and I can take care of myself just fine!! Listen, if something comes up I'll let you know."

Lunele

"You matter, and I hope you know you'll always be important to me, okay? I'll try not to be too strict anymore. I know you're a lot more capable of bringing change than I am..."

Duo Name: Solar Eclipse
People will often be surprised to see how easily the usually stoic Lunele will drop their guard around their younger brother, and the two seem to be extremely close and comfortable around each other. They tend to make a lot of jokes, come up with a lot of schemes together with the princess or goof off when no ones looking. Koralo however does feel insecure about her "dynamic duo" status with Lunele, since she is often seen as the better knight of the two. However she cares about his sister a lot and doesn't want to hurt their feelings.

• He and Lunele own one matching earring each that they made for the other as kids. Koralos is gold and shaped like the sun. Lunele’s is silver and shaped like the moon.

• Lunele has always clung onto her earring and wore it nearly all times, and Koralo did as well up until he ran away from home, leaving it behind to run from Lunele’s shadow. After finding more closure and acceptance in himself and his relationship with Lunele, he started wearing the earring again.

Koralo's former client. He and Lunele were assigned to protect her from all harm, and the close proximity led them to learn alot more about the usually calm-seeming Princess. Surprisingly, Arabella was the one always dragging the other two into her own mischief and secret plans. Koralo was always eager to aid and they both adored the others fun-loving spirit. Despite the fact Koralo had to leave with Opal, Arabella still regarded her and Lunele as her Knights always.

Koralo grew up in Greenhorne with two loving mothers and his older adopted sister, Lunele. When he was young, he made it his dream to fight by Lunele's side as swordfighters after seeing how cool she was in a sparring match. She trained endlessly, and eventually was accepted into the Royal Guard of Greenhorne as a knight. Koralo swiftly climbed up ranks, and at some point finally reached up high enough to match Luneles level. The two constantly worked together on missions and matches, becoming an unstoppable iconic duo within the Castle.

As the two got closer like this, Koralo was happy to achieve her dreams- but he began to grow a bit insecure. He noticed how the public saw him in comparison to Lunele, just being the younger brother of the Kerseys, just being Lunele's little sidekick, and no one knowing her as just her. He believed there was some sort of gap between his achievement and Lunele's and that he was inferior somehow. With that, he exerted himself more and more to prove herself- yet was only tiring himself out. He wanted to do something that'd gain him a reputation of his own now, not feeling worthy enough of his name or as Lunele's brother. Soon enough, he overheard the rumors of a dark evil plaguing Greenhorne and he saw this as his chance-- devising a plan to sneak out and defeat this monster on her own. After all, nothing could go wrong with such a thing, right...?

• In his setting, he probably dresses like a sickly victorian boy. Although in a more modern setting he’d love to experiment with various types of streetwear.

• Koralo always wears the gold sun-shaped earring in his reference. This is NOT optional.

• He usually is smiling or cocky acting, very confident in behavior, posture and vibe.

• Koralo is inspired by the red coral gemstone. His first name, Koralo, is a name of Esperanto origin that means "coral". Her middle name, Ramiro, is a name of spanish origin meaning "great judge" or "great advice". And her last name, Kersey, is an english surname meaning "watercress".

• Koralo was raised in Greenhorne all of his life, so he’s not that knowledgeable of what other places in Oryktopia are like when he first sets out with Opal. He ended up growing a fondness for Neksdor though since Lunele lived there and he got to learn more about them through visiting.

• He gets very protective and doting on kids, trying to keep them mostly out of harms way. Despite not being one, he almost acts like an older sibling and frets over his younger peers a lot. Gintaras in particular looks up to him and admires him a lot, being very grateful for Koralo wanting to hype them up and take him under his wing.

• Koralo is very physically affectionate without even noticing it himself. Particularly when he’s happy or proud, he likes to hug or ruffle someone’s hair. He's far more of a giver of affection rather than a receiver, and might get a bit embarrassed if you give him the same treatment since he sees it as patronizing.

• He has a very soft spot for animals of any kind, but particularly horses, cats and dogs. He can’t really resist the urge to pet any animal close by. He has a fear of bats though since he got attacked by one as a kid once when he snuck out to Riverdeep Cavern with Adelina.

• He owns a horse from Peculia named Rosace! He’s had her ever since he was young, and although she has a prickly personality towards everyone else, she’s very fond of him and him only. He finds the way she acts around others funny and says it adds to her personality.
