Hidden away spending her time in her chamber, the seemingly beautiful and shy Princess of Greenhorne is a sight to behold to all whom she graces her time and attention to. Although Adelina upholds a delicate and polite appearance to the public eye, looking happy to serve the kingdom that they will rule one day, they actually carry a rather crude attitude unbecoming of a typical Princess.

She is brash and sly in nature, frequenting escapades out into the nearby towns and causing mischief around the castle to cure her boredom. From what it seems, she is rather tired of the image she has to upkeep just for her father's image, desiring a much more freeing and real life than what her castle chambers limit her to. While not many though know of the nature of her activities at night, there have been speculations floating around the kingdom of a secret lover that visits her at the castle.

Adelina's childhood is rather typical and expected of a rebellious princess. As she was younger she very openly rejected the type of princess her kingdom tried to make of her. Much too docile and quiet, Adelina found much more excitement in doing the things that others might've judged her for. It led to a fair share of scoldings and head-shakings by the royal advisor, but they found enjoyment in the mischief rather than feeling discouraged. Adelina's father, Sybald, would laugh and smile at the sight of his daughter, even if he'd have to lightly chide her at the request of her mother and the advisor, Lestem. Adelina was always fond of him despite this, their mother not so much. The queen was a rather harsh person and Adelina disliked how she would treat her in comparison; much more like a mold to project her failed wishes onto rather than an actual person.

One day however, the queen had fallen terribly ill, and with little remedies at the time-- the kingdom suffered a heavy loss in her passing. Adelina herself didn't feel too good of a connection with her mother, and so the death had left her feeling rather indifferent, albeit reasonably a sort of confusing kind of sadness. Her father of course didn't take the whole tragedy with as much indifference. The death of his wife had left a terribly big scar on his heart, and on his ability to lead the kingdom. As he began to rely on Lestem more, Adelina noticed how different his behavior towards her became. That free will and creativity he used to urge her to keep he began to chide her for. She wasn't sure if it was due to the advisor's influence or if it was because he felt guilty for not helping his wife make Adelina a more "proper" type of royalty, but Adelina was not happy about it.
