A lively little rascal who only looks to enjoy her time stirring up mischief. While she’s very skilled in myr culinary abilities, he’s also known for being a cheeky prankster at heart that likes cooking up chaos wherever he goes. Mim likes to push the limits with things, and her curiosity really knows no bounds. Seriously, good luck if you’re trying to manage this one, he’s a handful and definitely should not be underestimated under any circumstances.

He might be just a kid, but he will outsmart you if you try pulling anything and it will not be fun, at least not for you. It’s better off just to simply be dragged into myr regular chaos than to stop her and make things worse. As much as he talks though, no one actually knows much about him or his origins. Agate herself doesn’t even recall her own past, oddly enough. Not even the large burn scars covering his body seem to be something that he knows the exact cause of.

With an upbeat energy and a beaming smile, Agate always seems to have his spirits up! It's hard for him to be knocked down, even in the most dire situations, somehow finding excitement and curiousity to all that he comes across. It's quite contagious, or maybe offputting? He is actually very easy to read considering her emotions are so out there. You know she's in a good mood which is most of the time since he's always chipper and such.

But she gets jarringly quiet when she's uncomfortable or genuinely scared, having a tendency to freeze up in situations that actually stress him out. Mim sometimes goes overboard with her prodding and poking people for fun, and is rather stubborn in her ways when she's scolded for things. Her excitableness can also be very unfitting in some situations, making jokes at wrong times when he can't necessarily read the mood.

At first, Opal was super concerned about having a kid on the team for the SECOND time, considering how Gin went. Although this kid was nothing like he could've ever imagined-- Agate is a bit too all over the place for Opal to stay calm honestly. She definitely respects the chef's cooking abilities and how true mim is to myrself, but the constant chaos making that he creates throws Opal off far too much. He does think mim is fun and it is sometimes nice being around her since mim's good at making people laugh, but she also would not trust this child with his life. At ALL.

Fellow experimentalists! Coming up with new spells and making foods aren’t all that different it seems, and these two having a shared adoration for branching out and creating the new caused them to get along pretty well! Sometimes Agate asks Lucett to test out a magical spell on her food, which can go well at times! Other times though… it leads to a rather disastrous result to put it lightly, and a scolding from the others. They’re also technically family as in-laws.

Duo Name: Mooncake / Shield Gratin
Lunele has a surprising soft spot for Agate. Her chaotic unpredictable behavior although stressful at times is pretty entertaining and in some way familiar to her. He reminds them of Adelina, and that to Maira is very comforting. For that, Maira usually enables some of Agate's behaviors, even joining in on some of the lighter mischief. Agate finds this to be a very pleasant surprise, so they're on relatively good terms overall to most of the guildmate's surprise.

A rather chaotic and surprising adoptive father-child duo. At first Etoze had been very fed up with Agate's pranks and such, and in a way he still is! But he's grown to really care about her a whole lot, and accidentally... took him under his wing somehow. They still end up in silly bickering and situations due to Agate still testing her pranks out on him, but deep down the two are like family, and though they don't admit it-- care for each other a whole lot.

• One time Agate watched him play guitar and asked if she could play. When he picked up the guitar he had the most horrific playing that Etoze had to snatch it back almost immediately.

• Agate can actually sing pretty well, but it pisses Etoze off because all he sings is joke songs but like. really well. That or he purposefully sings with horrible pitch or in stupid sounding impressions.

• They definitely lie at restaurants that it’s one if their birthdays. They’ll be sitting at their table and Agate will act like an overly excited child loudly exclaiming things hinting at a birthday so the workers can overhear and "surprise" them with free cake.

• Agate isn’t the best at processing her guilt since she often doesn’t feel much responsibility for her actions. This being said he was especially quiet and unnaturally down when it came to accidentally burning Etoze once in Karkaton. He’d spend a lot of time by Etoze’s side in silence out of not knowing what to say. Etoze thought it was awkward as hell because he didn’t really hold it much against him, even though he kind of appreciated the sentiment.

• Agate loves dragging Etoze into watching those competitive cooking shows. They end up picking a contestant each to root for and get frustrated like hell when the judges vote their contestant out. Agate often picks the one who wins somehow, he calls it "chef’s instinct" but chances are he probably watched the episode in private and went all the way to the end to see who wins, thinking he's soooo sneaky and evil for doing so.

Close friend. Anacre helped Agate adjust into new life at first when the latter had suddenly showed up in Fey with no memory. The two take pride in being fellow troublemakers of sorts, and although Agate had to leave soon after to join Opal’s adventure, the two love to keep in touch through letters, or through Anacre’s secret little outings to the Travelers’ Hub.

Agate's best friend from her past life. While she didn't get along with most back then, Tongran was essentially her partner in crime, his confidante. Surprisingly, Agate was quite meek back then, a lot more quiet yet with a hidden passion. Tongran was the one who lit that fire in Agate and inspired her to live life more freely-- how mim wanted to live. Even after her passing and Agate's reincarnation, Tongran's effect still lingered. Perhaps in some way of preserving her memory, although unintentionally-- Agate's current personality after reincarnating is much more similar to Tongran's when she was still alive.

• Agate is inspired by the Carnelian Agate. His chosen name, Agate, reflects this inspiration. Her first name, Fèngzhǎn (凤展), is a name of Chinese origin with the first character, Fèng (凤), meaning "phoenix; symbol of joy" while the second character, Zhǎn (展), means "open/unfold". His surname name, Kemei (克梅), is also a name of Chinese origin with the first character, Ke (克), meaning "overcoming", while the second character, Mei (梅), simply means "plum". Altogether, the characters for her name are 克梅 凤展.

• It’s rather ironic that she’s a chef and a skilled one at that, given that she’s scared of fire. Flambé took a very long time to master because of this.

• Agate isn’t that knowledgeable on technology because of the gap between mims time period and now, so he’s pretty much fascinated by anything involving it, literally going starry-eyed.
